What this area asks
The smallest area on the test and the one candidates most often leave until last, which is a mistake only because it is also the shortest to learn. Weight against lift, where the centre of gravity sits relative to the centre of pressure, what a load factor is and why it climbs so fast past a 45-degree bank, and what an overloaded aircraft does differently — a short list of consequences that appears again and again.

- How many loading and performance questions are on the Part 107 test?
- The FAA publishes a band rather than a fixed count: Appendix 1 of the Airman Certification Standards gives Loading and Performance 7–11% of the test. On a 60-question test that is roughly 4 to 7 questions; the full-length mock on this site deals 5.
- Is this set timed?
- Not on this page. These sets are for learning the area — each answer comes with an explanation, the ACS code and the document the fact came from. The full-length mock runs the real clock: 60 questions in 120 minutes.
- Are these real questions from the FAA test?

Amendment 107-8 (86 FR 4381, 15 January 2021) is the one that rewrote night operations and added operations over human beings.
